:: Rhetoric Machine ::

• I remember when my parents would take my sister and I to the bowling alley as we were kids for a family outing. One of my favorite things there was this old juke box. I have always been fascinated with this machine. So I was thinking, of creating a machine that with its tone it will appeal to the cerebral part of the brain rather than the emotional. For this project I propose creating a similar idea with the juke box and having a series of speeches, if you will, given by different political figures that you can select and listen to the speeches. Much like a person would select a song for a dime, he or she would select a speech for a dime.

• Ways of modifying this can be optional. 

• Perhaps, I will only have sound bytes of the speech? 

• Maybe I will have a whole bunch of figures with byte clips? 

• Should I just keep it to American Political figures?  

• The foreign language speeches can typically NOT be understood however their tone and their response from the audience gives us clues.

• I plan on adding other figures but for now, some of the people I will use 

are the following : 

• General Patton

• Hitler

• George Bush

• Stalin

• Mao Tse Tung

• McCarthy

• Sarah Palin

• Jimmy Carter

• Ronald Raegan
